Primarily a cutlery manufacturer, they also made flatware in silverplate and stainless steel. Imperial merged with the Ulster Knife Co. in 1941 to become the Imperial Knife Associated Companies. The name was changed in 1985 to the Imperial Schrade Corp., closing its doors in 2004.
