Successor to Bailey & Co. George W. Banks and Samuel Biddle joined forces with Joseph T. Bailey II in 1878 and formed Bailey, Banks & Biddle. The name was changed to Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. when the company incorporated in 1894. Became a part of the Zales Corporation in 1961 who re-branded over 100 of their stores with the Bailey, Banks & Biddle name. BBB was sold to Finlay Jewelry Corporation in 2007, and then Gordon Bros. in 2009, who started closing BBB stores. The last few BBB stores were closed in 2019.
